Here's a story for all you Armchair Ghost Hunters out there. While there are hundreds of ghost hunting groups around the country, and actually hooking up with one and experiencing ghost hunting "in the field" sounds exciting, but you have never done it.

Many groups offer tours and excursions into the unknown. But if you really just want to stay home, but don't want to miss the fun, there are many ghost hunting cams broadcasting live views of some of the best haunted territory in America.

Take a look at these cams we found while browsing the web recently.

Willard Library, Evansville, Indiana

Step into the oldest library in the state of Indiana - more than 110 years old. The web cams were inspired by tales of ghostly images there. The library is situated inside an Evansville Victorian Gothic building in this southwestern Indiana town of 130,000. Check out their web site here. Or go right to their three cams.

Knickerbocker Hotel, Linesville, Pennsylvania

This is probably my favorite ghost cam because it's well done, live images (not regular image updates) and there's sound.

Texas, Oklahoma Paranormal Research Center

With a simple mission of trying to understand the "mysteries surrounding us," this group has set up two ghost cams, although it's not clear exactly where these cams are located. Check out their web site here, or go directly to their ghost cam page. They have two set up.

Haunted Diary Ghost Cams

From their web site, they have two ghost cams set up.

The first is in Genesta's House, located in Pittsburgh, PA. The second is in Gennie's House, located in the Gettysburg area, Adams County, PA. You can access both cams from their home page here.

The web cam view at Genest'a House is the living room. This is an area where a few things have happened.

The web cam at Gennie's House is situated on the second floor of a home built before 1760 in the Gettysburg, PA, area. Both cams refresh an image every 20 or 30 seconds.





ddDavid's Web Cams

Six cameras. One house. The paranormal. ddDavid asks, "What more could you want?"

Check out his web cam page where six cameras are set up in a 100-year-old Victcorina house. You have to register to view the cams.











Lincoln Web Cam

Check out this web cam on the roof of an aging theater.

From this British web site, they say, "We've set up a state of the art image intensifying camera in the roof of the old Radion Buildings - you can just see the old pillar markings from when the building was used as a cinema - in fact one of the ghost rumours is of an Ice-cream Lady."

Ordsall Hall Ghost Cam

The mysterious White Lady is frequently seen in the Great Hall as one of their resident spirits. A young girl is also seen on the stairs. Watch two cameras here, but you have to do the page refreshing yourself.

They provide an archive of images for only the past 24 hours - and an online discussion group if you want to chat with other ghost hunters.










Ghostwatcher Cams

Interesting site. Try 37 cams in one New York City apartment. June is asking for help so that she can sleep better. Takes a few minutes to get the lay of the land here, but you can click on various cams to check up on ghostly activity. Looks like you have to refresh the cams yourself.

Paris Catacombs Web Cam

It's in French, so there's no explanation if you can't read the language. Looks like you have to refresh the page yourself though. Step inside and have a look.

Hell's Kitchen Haunted Hallway Camera

Alright, if you want "a sure thing," then this is the site for you. Don't be fooled though - but take a look. Camera refreshes automatically every 20 seconds.
