Lady Gaga is petrified of evil spirits and spends thousands of pounds on ghostbusters to check every hotel and venue before reaching there.

The 24-year-old singer, who believes she is the reincarnation of her dead aunt, sends a team of paranormal investigators to check tour venues she is slated to visit, reported Contactmusic.

The Poker Face hitmaker recently spent a whopping 30,000 pounds on state of the art Electro Magnetic Field meters to detect spectres.

"She believes in paranormal activity and won't take any risks when she is on the road. It's important to her to be safe from spirits," a source said.

However, ghost-hunting equipment is not the only thing in Gaga's extravagant purchase list as she has allegedly spent 40,000 pounds to hire a NASA trained chemist.
