Paranormal groups plan fundraisers for USS Salem

Mass Paranormal and Nightfall Paranormal will hold four fund-raisers for the USS Salem this year.

The events are scheduled for April 10, May 15, June 19, and July 31 from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m..

Mass Paranormal and Nightfall Paranormal will discuss the investigation techniques they use, then they will conduct an investigation on the ship.

Psychic and medium Serenity Moore, spiritual advisor Michael Robinson and Shannon Sylvia from SCi-Fi channel's Ghost Hunters International will take part in the June 19 event and psychic and medium Robbie Thomas and Shannon Sylvia will take part in te July 31 event.

The cost for each event is $85 per person, including meeting with the guests, coffee, water, snacks, and sandwiches. Participants must be at least 16 years old and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The USS Salem receives no outside funding to keep up and running. It relies mainly on outside donations.

Mass Paranormal is a Quincy-based team that has investigated many homes and businesses over the years. It began investigating the USS Salem about a year ago.

Nightfall Paranormal is a similar group based in Methuen.
