SYFY’S GHOST HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL SWEEPS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AS THE #1 CABLE PROGRAM IN PRIMETIME FOR ADULTS 18-49!

Ghost Hunters International Earns Season High and Beats TNT’s Leverage Head-to-Head by +6% in Adults 18-49
New York, NY – July 30, 2009 – Syfy’s hit paranormal reality series, Ghost Hunters International (GHI) stole Wednesday night away with the premiere of a brand new hour-long episode titled, “Skeleton in the Closet.” GHI delivered record numbers for season two in key demographics making Syfy the #1 cable program in primetime for Adults 18-49. The episode earned a season high in both Adults18-49 and Adults 25-54, up +8% Adults 18-49 +2% in Adults 25-54 vs. last week’s episode premiere.

Among new episodes of key cable originals that aired on Wednesday night GHI beat TNT’s series, Leverage head-to-head at 9pm by +6% in Adults 18-49s, the 10 p.m. Dark Blue on TNT by +19% and the 10 p.m. The Real World on MTV by +9%.

Syfy demonstrated considerable strength in primetime across all demos and age groups, ranking as the #3 cable network for Adults18-34, Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54.

In the upcoming Wednesday, August 5 episode of GHI titled, “Spirits of Italy,” the crew return to Italy to investigate a Tuscan castle and its 700 year-old legend of its doomed lover. One of the investigators gets the shock of her life when she sees a face that could be that of the doomed lover herself and Robb gets uninvited from the castle by an occupant who has been dead for some time. The team will also travel to Genoa to investigate the Palazzo Ducale, home to the city’s doges and their prisoners. As the team search the cells for the spirit of a political martyr, they get a bump in the night that seems paranormal – but is the city itself responsible for the palace’s haunted reputation?
