This hotel is said to be haunted by Colonel Tutweiler. He may turn all the lights on at night as he has in the past. After making this a nightly, the hotel staff now say "Good night Colonel, and please turn the lights and stove off, and don't make a mess!" They haven't had a problem since making that part of closing procedures.
