My name is Dismas and my wife is GrissyG, we are collaborative Artists and Animators also known as GrisDismation. We were both born in Belize Central America and currently reside here in Calabasas, California. We produce fine Art, short Animations from concept to completion which are available to be viewed on our website. Together we would like to share the Belizean myths to you through a series of paintings titled; Legends of Belize.
Legends of Belize is a series of 10 paintings, 11 graphic art logos and 10 brief descriptions, which capture and document, like never before, the Belizean mythological creatures that have taught, scared, and intrigued people for many generations.
In the series we document our cultural myths in a unique way to share with the world. Our series of Art have been featured in the Mission College Dot News (August 2003), Daily News (December 2003), KPC College radio (May 2010), “Whispers Radio†Paranormal talk radio http://www.whispersradio.com/?p=962 (June 2010), “Belize Watch†TV show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfBWx1A_CCQ (Aug 2010) and we also have an article published online in “Let’s talk paranormal.†http://www.tracieaustin.com/viewarticle.asp?ID=346. Together with my wife we also provided Art presentations at several schools including California State University of Northridge, where our Art and video presentations were all well received by students and professors alike.
We believe a show on Legends of Belize would be a culturally fascinating, and informative experience for the general audience.
