Tales of ghostly apparitions and history that will make you quiver in your boots...this will be a trip around Aberdeen you will never forget!
Aberdeen Ghost Walks commence trade on Tuesday 16th June 2009.
During the tours, our guides will take you on a journey through Aberdeen’s past, exploring the grim and gruesome stories that have shaped this city’s darker history. Tales of witches, trial and punishment, smuggling and famous battles are but some of the historic events we will encounter along our tour. We will also discover the truly frightening ghost stories which have emerged from a city hidden beneath mystery and treachery.
Our tours pass by many of the historic landmarks and buildings which have shaped Aberdeen and stopping outside these locations we will explore the buildings’ history and stories of ghostly inhabitants!
We hope to provide all of our customers with an entertaining and educational insight into Aberdeen’s history and related ghost stories.
Our tours last between 1 – 1 1/2 hours leaving from Castlegate, Aberdeen and working their way around the city centre, finishing at the Old Green. The walking distance of the tours is approximately ¼ mile.
Families and children are welcome on the tours, however, the tours contain content that may be frightening or disturbing for a younger audience. Due to this under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Our tours run in all weather, unless, it is deemed to be unsafe. We recommend that you wear clothes that you will be warm in and bring a rain coat with you just in case of poor weather on the tour.
All areas of the tour are accessible by wheelchair, however, there are areas of cobblestone on some of the streets we will be walking along.
Booking is not nescessary on the tours, however, we advise large groups to contact us prior to the tour taking place.
