After the tours' successful inaugural season last fall, founder Marty Seibel has added new sites and split the tour into two routes: The Haunted Wharf Tour and the Ghostly Newtown Tour.

Presented by the Shenandoah Valley Paranormal Society, each tour is 90 minutes, with guests covering a little more than a mile on foot.

The Saturday night tours will continue through the end of October.

The tours are designed to blend history and hauntings by featuring ghostly tales and experiences, along with historic facts of Staunton's past.

Guides are all experienced paranormal investigators who share some of their favorite investigative techniques in the field and offer hands-on experience using paranormal equipment.

The tour is not recommended for small children, and participants should wear comfortable walking shoes. Ghosts of Staunton also conducts tours for groups of six or more people by appointment.

The group also is adding a paranormal travel agency through which to book overnight, weekend and longer trips to some of the country's most haunted locations.
