A PARANORMAL group hopes to raise spirits when it is launched at an historic town-centre pub.
The Sentinel Paranormal Investigators will meet each month to explore ghostly goings-on at the Two Tubs Inn.
It is the first club of its kind in Bury and has been organised by medium Antonia Bowers, from Holcombe Brook, her sister Michaela Mahon, and mother Margaret Bowers.
The pub is the oldest building in Bury and claims to have a haunted history.
Miss Bowers is part way through a diploma in parapsychology at Edinburgh University.
She claims to have experienced paranormal activities since birth, but has had to travel to an out-of-town club for three years to explore her interests.
Miss Bowers said: “We set up the club for people in the borough with an interest in the paranormal.
“If they like the club and think there is something paranormal to pick up on, then we can hold bigger investigations.”
Meetings take place at the Two Tubs in The Wylde, Bury, on the first Wednesday of the month, from 7.30pm to 10pm.
Digital equipment is used to record any ghostly activity and members will be able to take part in overnight investigations or request a reading in their home.
