KILWINNING members of a Scottish charity have come up with a novel idea to raise awareness of their work.
The Ayrshire and Arran branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland have compiled a collection of spooky tales and published these in the form of an e-book, which is available free of charge from their website.
Something of the Night is a full colour e-book containing more than 30 strange-but-true accounts of paranormal occurrences such as ghost sightings, poltergeist activity and haunted buildings.
Branch spokesman of the charity, Nick Smalley, said: “The e-book has been produced by branch members to promote awareness of Multiple Sclerosis.
“A lot of effort went into researching and putting together the stories to make it entertaining and informative.
“There are also lots of original illustrations and the short story format makes it easy to read.
“Although the tales featured in the book are primarily from the UK, within a few hours of its launch it had been downloaded by people not only from throughout the UK, but in Australia, the USA and South America too.â€
Something of the Night is available free of charge by visiting www.msayrshire.com
The Kilwinning branch has its very own drop-in centre where people living with MS, their carers, families and all affected by Multiple Sclerosis can pop in for support and advice.
The branch office is located at 104a Main Street, Kilwinning, and to speak to someone contact the branch on 01294 558866 or email the volunteers at msayrshirebranch@tiscali.co.uk
