If these walls could talk - they might help explain why the Catholic Church ordered an exorcism in Hinsdale, New York, on February 14, 1974.

Father Alphonsus Trabold from nearby St. Bonaventure University and New York-based Psychic Alex Tanous ventured into what we now call the Hinsdale House. Fr. Trabold carried out the exorcism and Tanous conducted a "de-psyching" of the house.

The Dandy family bought what they thought was their perfect home in the country - only to move out several years later as the hauntings there continued. Clara (Dandy) Miller recently produced an update to her original book - Echoes of A Haunting: Revisited - now available through VirtualBookWorm.com. The book tells the story of what happened to the family in this rural mountain community.

While network television has told the story of the Dandy family in different formats, no production has gone inside the actual home. Tremont Avenue Productions with writer-director Roger Marsh (Paranormal News Examiner) began with a transcription of a tape recording the priest made during the exorcism and turned it into a reinaction script.

Regional actors were put into place and the entire exorcism, including the events leading up to it and what followed afterwards, was turned into this documentary - Tragic Hinsdale House.

The current homeowners - Flo and Joe Misnik - are also interviewed. The production crew completes a site exploration. Local paranormal investigator Michael Rambacher steps in to explain the family's encounters and other tales from this land.

The entire documentary - more than three hours in length - will play out on these pages beginning today. In this first webisode, the crew arrives late on a Friday evening for a first look at the property. We meet Flo and Joe. Flo is a bit irritated that her house cleaning is not complete - but the crew is here for their first look at the property and introductions are made.

Rambacher offers a historical overview dating back to 1737 when the Seneca Indians occupied the land.

He also points out how many television and film crews move into properties and do not conduct paranormal investigations properly. Rambacher has studied the Hinsdale House for several decades and was friends with Father Trabold during the last years of his life. Together they discussed the property and the many stories from its past.

The Hinsdale House was the site of a 1974-75 investigation for myself as a freshman college journalism student at the age of 17.

I also met with Father Trabold, who pointed out how dangerous the area was and who suggested I should stay away from it. Later in this series, you will hear about that 35-year-old investigation and how our original team experienced the "disappearing car" as we re-create that night.

Other stories include The Hanging Tree, the nearby Weigh Station, interviews with the Misnik's, and of course - the exorcism itself.

Crew members for this production include Paranormal Investigator and our Site Manager Michael Rambacher, Assistant Director Matthew Beucker, Set Manager Philip Haddad, and Script Manager and Gaffer Greg Garland. Additional support was provided locally for production assistants and site security.

This project was funded in part by Ye Olde UFO Store, Sedona, Arizona; Executive Producer Clara Miller; and through local fundraising efforts on-site.

This documentary will play out here in short segments daily, Monday through Friday, throughout December, with one or more YouTube videos of 10 minutes (or less) in length. Later this month, the complete documentary DVD will be available for purchase.

Upcoming investigation documentaries include the Haunted Knickerbocker Hotel in January - where we step inside this historical Linesville, Pennsylvania, landmark for an extended look at their legends and tales; and Exploring Site 516 in February - an exotic trip to a Pennsylvania site that was once an Indian village and burial site and now the subject of incredible paranormal activity. Additional sites are being explored and documented now. Special thanks to Executive Producer Charles Mudd, Chicago, for his legal assistance; and to Joyce Werges for her travel assistance.
