On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux,†the French for: “One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye;†this thesis of “The Little Prince†written by Antoine-Marie-Roger de Saint-Exupéry who, according to newly released records, “may have been taken†by alien’s due to Saint-Exupéry’s pursuit of various UFO craft that he observed while flying over the fields of France during World War II.
“The Little Prince is the largest selling book in history about an alien,†says Oscar Fernandez, a researcher of classic books who’s doing his master’s level literature dissertation about this French aviator wrote this book that’s been translated into more than 190 languages and sold more than 80 million copies.
The Little Prince is both a children’s and adult book about an alien coming to Earth. It is one of the best-selling books of all time, says Fernandez and “one of the most interesting due to the strange death of its author, Saint-Exupéry.â€
Fernandez said he chose to conduct research here at Powell’s Books in downtown Portland because it’s the largest independent used and new bookstore in the world and, he jokes, “it has the most complete collection of The Little Prince other Saint-Exupéry books anywhere.â€
Little Prince author was a UFO hunter
“Saint-Exupéry may have drawn inspiration for The Little Prince from both his flying experiences and his friends who were somewhat infamous in France for believing in what we now call unidentified flying objects (UFOs),†explained Fernandez while pointing to a 1930’s era text at Powell’s that shows Saint-Exupéry with Rene and Francine Fouere.
“The Fouere’s were known as the French UFOlogy pioneers because they were the first to publish their views in Paris at a time when many people were spotting UFOs. It’s known that Saint-Exupéry was influenced by the Fouere’s and historians speculate about The Little Prince being drawn from both his UFO sightings and stories from the Fouere’s about aliens visiting Earth,†adds Fernandez while pointing to dozens of vintage French texts that mention the “ufology craze†between the wars in the 1930’s.
In addition, Saint-Exupéry had that same unusual ending that happens to many UFO profits who seem to die mysteriously at a time when they are coming out about their UFO beliefs.
Saint-Exupéry flew for the French Air Force at the start of World War II. During a July 31, 1944 mission to collect information on German troop movements his plane was lost, and it was never seen until the late 1990’s when fishermen found the aircraft off the coast of Marseilles, France.
“There was no body or remains in the cockpit,†stated an official French Air Force report from 1997.
Moreover, former German World War II pilot Horst Rippert said in 2008 that he “was certain he’d shot down Saint-Exupéry in 1944. Rippert, who also went on record about spotting “unusual lights and aircraft during dogfights over France during that period,†speculated that the Frenchman’s body “was somehow taken.â€
To this day, Saint-Exupéry has become the French version of Amelia Earhart because his remains have never been found. However, in 1998, a French fisherman named Jean-Claude Bianco found a silver identity bracelet bearing the names of Saint-Exupéry. The French Air Force confirms that the famous author of The Little Prince was wearing that bracelet by viewing photos of him at a French airfield on the day he went missing.
A story of outer and inner space
Saint-Exupéry ‘s The Little Prince is about a boy from a distant home asteroid or plant. The book explains that the planet is the size of a house and named “B-612.â€
To this day, B-612 always comes up in various UFO stories, says Fernandez.
Moreover, Fernandez has unearthed passages from several French texts of the period that have been translated into English. According to one report, this B-612asteroid was sighted by a Turkish astronomer in 1909.
“Saint-Exupéry read about this B-162 asteroid and used it to help communicate what was almost impossible at the time. That UFOs and aliens were visiting Earth,†added Fernandez. “It’s also interesting that this B-612 asteroid is a key to many recent UFO sightings reported by the International Astronomical Congress.â€
Moreover, there’s a small asteroid moon, Petit-Prince, that was discovered in 1998 and named after The Little Prince. The asteroid’s number is 46610, or B612 when converted from decimal to hexadecimal notation.
B-612 was the name of the asteroid where the little prince and, perhaps, even Saint-Exupéry lives on.
