Wicked Local Concord
Concord —
This fall, give in to the call of the dark side with Concord’s Beyond Twilight, a ghost walk for the curious, the enthusiast, and the skeptic.
Cloaked Raven Tours is once again featuring its distinctive evening stroll into the past, the unknown, and the paranormal. Sidestepping the tongue-in-cheek tone of standard “ghost walks,†Beyond Twilight offers its tales in the British narrative tradition with a dutiful regard for the stories’ origins and the listeners’ curiosity. Everyone, from cynics to devotees, is invited to come and reconsider that fine line between reality and imagination.
Beyond Twilight reveals that there is indeed more to Concord’s past than minutemen and poets, and for 20 seasons it has been provoking the pessimists and satisfying the speculators. For those who have already been, join others who continue to return each year to renew the wonder.
Cloaked Raven Tours grew out of Beyond Twilight Walks, which has provided distinctive guided walking tours for more than 20 years. All guides have particular expertise in their subject areas and bring participants up close to the sites visitors often miss.
Walks will take place Oct. 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30. All tours the week before Halloween will include a historical view of the holiday’s unusual history.
Reservations are required for all walks and may be secured by calling 978-269-4237 or e-mailing jchat19@hotmail.com. All walks meet at 8 p.m. in front of The Old Hill Burying Ground in Concord Center. Adults $15, Children under 15 $10.
