You may not know it, but your neighbor’s house may be haunted. Everyday Paranormal has investigated several cases in the Schertz/ Cibolo/ Randolph area.
“There are a lot of homes in this area,†Brad Klinge said. “(We’ve seen hauntings in) everything from older homes to modern homes built in the past couple years, that may have to do with the land it was built on. Some places we’ve found evidence, some we haven’t.â€
“One time, we were interviewing a young couple in Schertz,†Barry Klinge said. “They lived in a home about 10-15 years old. I was interviewing the mother in her back bedroom and there was a bucket full of toys near us. It slid across the room 5-6 feet with no one around it.â€
“There was one we did in Meridan,†Brad said. “The homes are spread apart, and the neighbors are about half an acre away. The woman had had problems hearing voices, seeing apparitions. It was fall last year, and there were a lot of leaves on the ground.
Barry and I were standing in the front yard and we heard something running toward us through the leaves. Then we saw (and heard) the garage door slam shut. We ran after her with our recording devices and caught the voice of a young girl on our EVP, Annie. The owners never knew about her. About six or seven months later, the owner called us and told us that she had some guests stay in the house. She never told them the house was haunted or about the investigation we had done. She said the people came to her and said, “There’s some weird stuff going on. My little girl is playing with a little girl named Annie — and there was no little girl there.â€
Legends include the Woman of Hollering Creek, where a group of women were attacked in a vicious raid and can still be heard screaming today. The Klinge brothers have also heard stories about Comanche State Park, which range from an Indian outpost to a man trying to recreate European castles for his wife and dying before it was completed.
“When you have a lot of legends and stories, it’s hard to weave the truth from fiction,†Brad said.
However, the brothers claim that many military bases, including Fort Sam Houston, Randolph Air Force Base and Brooke Army Medical Center, are haunted. Randolph Air Force Bases’ Taj Mahal is haunted by a pilot that crashed his plane, and Barry has personally heard witness accounts of hearing the horses’ hooves at BAMC from the old emergency carriages before cars.
